Frontal Panel

Frontal Panels ( Frames ) are the necessary parts of marine fendering systems, which are normally used for Super Cell Rubber Fenders, Super Cone Rubber Fenders, Leg Rubber Fenders and other types of marine fenders. The steel frontal panels are applied to distribute the reaction force from the rubber units into the ship’s hull.

Frontal Panels are generally of fabricated steel composite beam construction. Most marine fenders panels are either ” closed box ” or ” open box ” structures. For the ” closed box ” frontal panels, it is the most common type, which is comprised of front and back plates plus a series of vertical and horizontal stiffening members.

Each Frontal Panel is designed particularly for the special individual berth. The frontal panel design will depend on the composite factors, including the types of quays and vessels, berthing modes, fenders’ arrangement, hydrographic condition, and so on. Meanwhile, the sizes of frontal panels also should consider the standard sizes of UHMW-PE panels to save charges and costs.

The forms for the Frontal Panels arrangement: Horizontal Arrangement, Vertical Arrangement, and Combination Arrangement.
